CHD 01. Aquamarine — A crinkled chunri dupatta on an aquamarine ground, set in a gold zari lattice with each panel filled by fine white stitching and a rose and gold motif, bordered on both selvedges. Natural variation in stitch and colour is characteristic of the cloth.
Fabric
A crinkled chunri dupatta finished in the Hilal atelier, with a lattice of gold zari across the ground and an embroidered border. The crushed texture is set into the cloth and part of its character. Slight irregularities in stitch and colour are natural and unique to each piece.
Care
Dry clean only. Do not machine wash, soak or bleach. Do not wring. Keep away from perfume and deodorant sprayed directly onto the fabric. Do not iron over the embroidery — press lightly on the reverse, on low heat, with a cloth between the iron and the cloth. Store flat or loosely folded in a breathable cotton cloth, away from damp and direct sunlight. Take care around jewellery and fastenings, which can pull a thread.
